1) Derek Woodgate, futurist. Founder of the Futures Lab. Former British diplomat, polyglot, spoken word artist, musician, empressario, and executive at VF Corp. We talk about his new book, Future Frequencies; Future Studies vs. Strategic Planning; Europe vs. the US; the beat generation, etc.
2) Chipp Walters, CEO of Altuit. Chipp’s an industrial designer and founder of Human Code, one of the cool companies of the multimidia boom of the ’90’s. We talk about taking VC money and lessons learned from Human Code; why there are no old industrial designers; extreme programming,etc. Then, he takes me for a ride in his Prius and shows me how he and other Prius owners “game” the car to get the best gas mileage.
